Gallope
This polka is a personal favourite of mine and is called ‘An Gallope’, but is also known as Paddy Spillane’s No.2. It’s a well-known polka and is based on a D arpeggio. It’s also one of those simple tunes that sound great whether you play it simply or with complicated bass accompaniment. When practising the right hand, keep the fingers spread out and the rhythm steady. Remember that each part is played twice.
